Leonardo Jimenez Death – Obituary Is Not Available: Police are looking for the person who fatally shot a 14-year-old boy in Oxnard on Monday night. According to the Oxnard Police Department, the shooting occurred around 7:45 p.m. in the 1300 block of South C Street. Arriving officers found the teen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
According to the Police Department, emergency personnel began life-saving measures on him and transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He’s been identified as Leonardo Gonzalez Jimenez of Oxnard. Jimenez was shot while waiting for a ride home from a family member at a bus stop.
Investigators have not yet released any suspect information and have asked anyone with information to call Detective Kaya Boysan at 805-385-7645.
Anyone who has a video that could aid in the investigation is asked to upload it online. Anonymous file uploads are permitted. According to the news release, the city of Oxnard offers a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individuals responsible for homicides.
