He began his career in industrial sales with Burgess Power Equipment Company in De Queen, and later worked for King Bearing, Motion Industries, Inc., HSI and Applied Industrial Technologies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his four legged best friends. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in De Queen.
